INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SUSPENDED GLASS ASSEMBLY

SUMMARY OF ERECTION AND INSTALLATION COMPONENTS SUPPLIED BY AUSTRALIAN GLASS ASSEMBLIES.

1. Measure and mark the centre lines of all the glass fin locations and provide holes for anchor bolt fixings.

2. Measure and mark the locations of all the patch fittings located on the side of the columns.

3. Prepare and install all rebate channels, sill rails. including preparation of spacer and packing pieces and setting block pieces if required. These items are not supplied by A.G.A. Pty. Ltd.

4. Prepare and provide slots and/or holes in overhead structure for installation of glass panels suspension hangers as described in Section 3 and carry out same for glass fins.

5. Sub-assembly of top glass panel with hanger bracket as described in Section 3.

6. Erection of glass fins are described in Section 4.

7. Erect glass panels as described in Section 3 herein.

8. Check alignments of glass spacings and gap between panel and glass fin and check correct allowances for gap between:-

(a) panel to panel 5 to 6 mm
(b) panel to fin 6 to 10 mm
(c) panel to door panel vertical gap 4 to 6 mm
(d) transom panel to door panel horizontal gap 5 to 8 mm
(e) central panel and bottom panel 5 to 8 mm

9. Apply glass to glass silicone sealant to all glass joints, glass fins and façade panel joints.

10. Finally apply approved sealant to all rebated channels, (not supplied by A.G.A. Pty. Ltd.)

HANDLING
It is essential to handle the fittings components with utmost care and protect the highly polished surfaces of the component.

Screws, bolts and nuts must be prevented from drops, knocks, or crashing against one another which may cause damage to the thread of the screws and bend the shaft of the bolts.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:

1. On completion of the installation, check all nuts and bolts that fix the Fin Brackets to the Structure. Ensure that there has been no relaxation of the fixings into the structure.

2. Check all countersunk fixings: a) Ø60 Disc tightness against the glass.
b) m10 nut fixing swivel assembly to the spider arm.

3. Check all splice fin bolts and nuts, ensuring that they stay tightened to the required torque setting.

4. Repeat check of all nuts and bolts fixing the Fin brackets to the structure 6 months after completion and then every subsequent 12 months.


FITTING MAINTENANCE:

CLEAN POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL FITITNGS WITH CARE

ALWAYS
• Use a soft clean cloth.
• Use only clean water and a mild soap or mild liquid detergent.
• Rinse with a separate clean cloth and clean water.
• Protect stainless steel surface from render/cement.

NEVER
• NEVER leave render/cement on the stainless steel surface.
• NEVER use scrapers or blades.
• NEVER use harsh, abrasive, powder based or alkaline type cleaners.

REMEMBER
• Regular cleaning and polishing will keep the fittings looking like new.

GLASS MAINTENANCE:

CLEAN GLASS WITH CARE

ALWAYS
• Use a soft clean cloth.
• Use only clean water and a mild soap or mild liquid detergent.
• Rinse with a separate clean cloth and clean water.

NEVER
• NEVER use scrapers or blades.
• NEVER use harsh, abrasive, powder based or alkaline type cleaners.

REMEMBER
