Austvision Frameless Glass Slydstak Door System

The Austvision twin wheel heavy-duty Slydstak door comprises of an overhead track channel with covers and including a twin wheel carriages.
 

1. TRACK AND RAIL COVERS
Track shall be extruded hardened aluminium with a maximum channel wall thickness of 4.20mm in 6060-T5 alloy. The weight of the extrusion shall be no less than 5.76kg per lineal metre length.
The track channel shall be complete with clip-on extruded cover of 6060-T5 alloy with a provisional lip to carry or support the ceiling panel above.

The track covers come in either durable anodise or coloured powdercoat.

The track carrying capacity shall be 120kg dynamic load per meter run. When the carriage twin wheels are loaded, the inside dimensions of the track shall not be more than 2.0mm wider than the original to ensure free carriage travel.

The Austvision carriage rail shall be a unirail single unit extrusion to form a channel for heavy-duty performance. The rail channel wall thickness shall be no less than 5.0mm to ensure maximum rigidity and the security of the carriage.
The unirail extrusion shall be 6060-T5 hardened alloy and the unirail shall be complete with stainless steel covers of satin no. 4 finish.

2. TWIN WHEEL CARRIAGE
The carriage is designed with a stabiliser wheel to prevent free side swing of the slydstak door panel.
The wheel shall be machined from acetal polymer plastic with a high impact, high service temperature resistance (up to 100°C) and low moisture absorption qualities.

The carriage shaft shall be 12mm diameter, machined from stock 304 grade stainless steel bar with an ultimate tensile strength of 600mPa to ensure it remains corrosion free for the duration of its operating life.

3. BEARINGS
The self-lubricating roller bearings of the wheel carriage shall have a carrying capacity of no less than 280kg.

4. UNIQUE FEATURES SUMMARY

Suitable for 10 & 12mm glass as standard and can be machined for 15mm & 19mm glass.

5. DOOR RAILS

The Austvision frameless door assembly door rails shall be of heavy duty 85mm height Austvision UNI-Rail, manufactured from single body aluminium extrusion alloy 6060-T5 with minimum wall thickness of 6.0mm on each side of the glass. The UNI-Rail shall allow the covers to slide into place and are secured by aluminium special profile inserts to resist impact from kicking and knocking and avoid covers dislodging from the body by knocking. A unique feature is that the covers are easily removed for maintenance without damage to either the covers or the rail body.

The door rail shall be secured to the glass door panel by means of high strength nylon screws for simple installation and allow final adjustment before and after completion of installation.

The door rail shall have stainless steel end caps with locating lugs to ensure the caps do not twist out of place.

The UNI-Rail end caps shall be manufactured in stainless steel with a locating lug to avoid rotation of the end caps.

The door rails were tested with an average pull out load of 2500N without any visual distorsion.
